Rhodri Thompson
Rhodri practises as a barrister in London, specialising in EU, competition and public law. He is chair of the trustees of Westgate Meeting, which now provides the administrative base for the Paddock. He lives in Lewes and is married with three children.



Lucy Montgomery
Lucy is an architect based in Lewes. Her practice is designing commercial projects in London and working for a variety of local clients. Her interest as a Paddock Board Member is in the technical side of ‘putting on a show’. She is married with three children and has lived in Lewes for 11 years.



Miranda Kemp
My background is in PR, marketing and the media, in both the corporate sector and the third sector. I have worked for the Society of London Theatres, for London listings magazine, Time Out, for PR supremo Mark Borkowski (handling corporate clients such as R Whites lemonade and Nandos Restaurants and entertainment clients like Gerry Cottle and The Counterfeit Stones). In the charity sector, I have worked for Macmillan Cancer Support and for Citizens Advice. I currently edit and produce a publication called Communication, the quarterly members’ magazine for the National Autistic Society. I live with my husband and two children in Lewes.



Mark Brewer
Mark enjoyed a fifteen year career in the theatre as a Director and Designer and with over 40 productions to his name including national tours of Midsummer Nights Dream, Macbeth and Salad Days – Pantos at Buxton, Worthing, Swindon and Weymouth – Summer seasons at Eastbourne and the Isle of Man!  In 1992 Mark gave up the bright lights for a different kind of role in the family business – As chairman of Brewers (decorating materials), he is now fully occupied expanding the 130 branch network across the country.


Jenny Bell
Jenny Bell is a part-time sailor, part-time solicitor, part-time student and part-time gardener. As a solicitor, she acts for parents whose children are the subject of care proceedings. She is married to the painter and writer Julian Bell; they and their family live in Lewes.


Alison Hahlo
Alison has had a varied working life in community theatre, commodity trading, arts management for the National Theatre and more recently, teaching yoga and French. She is married, lives in Lewes and has 2 children.

Richard Pulham
Richard first became involved with the Paddock as a member of the chorus in Finnish Prisoner, when he was struck by the organisation’s creativity and community-based ethos. Now that he has more time available following partial retirement, he is looking forward to becoming involved in future projects.
